Wilma was born in Atlanta, Georgia on May 8, 1922.  Her family moved to Columbus, Ohio where she grew up and graduated from South High School.  During the Second World War she worked as a Long Distance Telephone Supervisor for Ohio Bell in Columbus.   After her wedding in 1944 she followed her husband ‘Conny’ to San Francisco where he was stationed as a Navy Seaman until the war ended in 1945. When discharged from the Navy they established their home in Columbus   Later when ‘Conny’ was transferred to Cleveland they lived in Garfield Heights, built a home in Bedford, then moved to Highland Heights and Kirtland before spending their final years with Ronnalee and David in Willoughby.  Wilma was very active in her Christian Fellowship with the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints now known as the Community of Christ where she served in the priesthood office of Teacher.  She spent many happy hours volunteering at the Holden Arboretum and Lake West Hospital.
